Basketball court:  As we are preparing to coat the surface of the basketball court green, the recommended material was found and costs $89 for a 5 gallon bucket.  We would need 6 cans for 1 coat and 2 coats are recommended.  Some concerns were raised as to the cost and whether the material would hold up under all the uses of the court (such as rollerblading).  Jim will check with the manufacturer and perhaps look in to other types of materials if necessary.  (Jim Abel)

OLD BUSINESS

BRUSH PILE BEHIND SHED:  A sign will be posted that no brush will be accepted after clean up day, 5/13/00.

NEW BUSINESS

Several residents have expressed concern that neighboring lots have not been mowed and the grass is very high.  A letter will be sent to those property owners.

A small lot was mowed by CICA after the grass got out of control & the owner will be billed $15 for a one time mowing fee.  John Bates suggested that owners of small lots be given a discounted rate for mowing but no one else seemed to like the idea.

John Bates mentioned that there are two lots that are very difficult for the tractor to get into due to the height of branches & brush.  Suggestion was made to pay Allen Embon to cut them until the branches are cleaned up.  It was decided to just clean the lots on cleanup day.

A “PRIVATE PROPERTY” sign will be posted on our beach to discourage boaters from coming in out of the water & using our beach.  A “NO FISHING” sign will be posted on the main dock at the harbor.  Fishing will still be allowed on the old dock.

There is an abandoned vehicle in front of a property on Darrel Rd.  A letter will be sent to the owner asking them to remove it.

CLOSE OF BUSINESS:  The next meeting will be held on 6/5/00 at 7:30 p.m. at the pavilion.

There being no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 9:20 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,
